Guus Kemperink specializes in mergers and acquisitions and joint-ventures, both in relation to private and listed companies, including hostile and contended takeovers. His practice includes corporate governance matters, where he advises on board governance structures and defence structures against hostile bids and activist shareholders. Moreover, he advises supervisory boards and defence foundations in the context of public takeover situations and hedge fund activism. Guus is appreciated for his diplomatic, though effective negotiating skills and for his talent for finding practical and realistic solutions in tense and critical situations with which private and listed companies may be faced.

Guus was admitted in 1984 to the Amsterdam Bar.
