Our firm advised the shareholders of Voltiq, a leading global financial advisory boutique specialising in renewable energy and the energy transition, on the sale of Voltiq to NORD/LB.
Founded in 2009 and based in Amsterdam and Madrid, Voltiq has extensive expertise in the fields of solar energy, onshore and offshore wind, energy storage, hydrogen, bio-energy and transmission networks. Voltiq will continue to operate as a specialised advisory business under its own brand, building on the existing team.
NORD/LB is a German public-law commercial bank and one of Germany’s largest financial institutions. NORD/LB has been financing renewable energy projects for more than 30 years.
By integrating Voltiq, NORD/LB is complementing its existing product portfolio with specialised, in-depth advisory services covering project finance, M&A, and equity raising, particularly for energy transition projects, which represents a natural extension of NORD/LB’s long-established financing experience.
