Our firm acted as Dutch counsel to Euronext Milan-listed Newlat Food, a significant player in the Italian and European agri-food sector, in the context of its EUR 900 million acquisition of the UK food group Princes from Mitsubishi Corporation.
Princes has its European head office in the Netherlands. The acquisition is of major importance to Newlat Food, as it provides Newlat Food a strong position in new product categories within the UK market and doubles its product category offerings to clients, positioning Newlat Food as one of the leading companies in the European food sector. In 2025, Newlat Food was renamed NewPrinces Group.
