Sander is a recognised specialist in M&A and corporate law, with more than two decades of experience advising on both Dutch and cross-border transactions. His practice focuses on complex private M&A transactions, including acquisitions and disposals, private equity investments, and corporate restructurings. He is known for guiding clients through sophisticated transactions with precision, commercial awareness, and strategic insight.
Drawing on a broad international network built over many years, Sander regularly acts as Dutch local counsel to leading international and top-tier foreign law firms, assisting them and their clients on the Dutch law aspects of cross-border transactions and corporate matters.

He obtained his law degree from the University of Groningen in 2000 and completed a semester abroad at the University of Wisconsin Law School in Madison, United States. Prior to his admission to the Amsterdam Bar in 2001, he worked for an NGO in Port Harcourt, Nigeria, in the Niger Delta region.
In addition to his native Dutch, Sander is fluent in English and has a working knowledge of French and German.
